Data required for purposes of the employment relationship:
When you apply, we process data from you that we require as part of the application process. This may include contact details, all data related to the application (CV, certificates, qualifications, answers to questions, etc.) and, if applicable, data on bank details (to reimburse travel expenses). The legal basis for this is derived from Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Data deletion
If no legal retention period exists, the data will be deleted as soon as storage is no longer necessary or the legitimate interest in storage has expired. If no recruitment takes place, this is regularly no later than three months after completion of the application process.
In individual cases, individual data may be stored for a longer period of time (e.g. travel expense report). The duration of the storage then depends on the legal retention obligations, e.g., the storage of data. from the German Fiscal Code (6 years) or the German Commercial Code (10 years).
If you have not been hired, but your application is still of interest to us, we will ask you if we may keep your application on file for future openings.
Confidential treatment of your data
We will of course treat your data confidentially and will not pass it on to third parties.
If necessary, we use service providers who are strictly bound by instructions, who support us e.g. in the areas of EDP or the archiving and destruction of documents and with whom separate contracts for order processing have been concluded.
Your data protection rights
As a data subject, you have the right to information about the personal data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR) as well as to correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR) or to deletion, provided that one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued. There is also the right to restriction of processing if one of the conditions set out in Art. 18 GDPR applies and, in the cases of Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability.

In addition, as a data subject, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of data relating to you is in breach of data protection legislation. The right of appeal may in particular be exercised before a supervisory authority in the Member State of the data subject's residence or place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
